Knew Or Known Learn How To Use The Simple Past In English
Knew or Known? Learn How To Use The Simple Past in English
Mar 29, 2020 / English / 1 mins read

We use the Simple Past to talk about actions that occurred in the past.

✅ We can conjugate many verbs into the Simple Past for affirmative sentences by adding ed to the end of the verb. This works for regular verbs like walk, play and paint.

Ex: I walked to the school yesterday.

✅ To create negative sentences the structure is different:

Pronoun + did not/ didn't + verb

Ex: He didn't finish the report.

✅ And for interrogative sentences:

Did + pronoun + verb

Ex: Didn't he finish the report?

Do you find conjugating verbs in the Simple Past in English challenging?

Let’s practice!

Write sentences in the comments section using the simple past.
