How To Use Actually And Currently
How To Use Actually And Currently
Sep 5, 2021 / English / 1 mins read

The word ‘actually’ can confuse French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish speakers because in these languages these similar words mean ‘currently’.

➡ In French: actuellement

➡ In Italian: attualmente

➡ In Portuguese: atualmente

➡ In Spanish: actualmente

In English, ‘actually’ means “in reality”, while ‘currently’ means “at this time”.

Ex: I'm from Toronto but I’m currently living in NY.

Ex: I said I liked the cake, but actually I think it is quite bad.
