Discover The Galápagos Islands
Mar 29, 2020 / English / 1 mins read

Visiting the Galápagos Islands is an incredible trip! Learn some interesting facts about this beautiful part of the world.

- The archipelago is formed by 19 islands of the coast of Ecuador, in the Pacific Ocean.

- Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection was inspired by the naturalist’s visit to the Galápagos Islands in 1835.

- You can find incredible diversity on the islands:

With 2,909 species of marine life, 18.2% are endemic. Just like the giant daisy Scalesia trees, which are part of the native flora.

- Rare species like the giant tortoise, land snails, mockingbirds and Darwin’s finches are examples of adaptive radiation.

Have you ever been to the Galápagos Islands or do you know any other interesting facts about it? Tell us in the comments!
