The verb 'to have' is used a lot in English. In addition to meaning possession (Ex: I have a car), this verb can be used together with nouns to refer to actions, activities, events and experiences.


 

Here are some examples:

 

✅ Have breakfast, have lunch, have a snack and have dinner. 

 

✅ Have coffee, have hot chocolate, have tea, have a sandwich, have salad and have pancakes.

 

✅ Have an appointment, have a meeting, have a lesson and have an exam.

 

✅ Have fun, have a nice day, have a tough day and have interest in ...

 

✅ Have a look, have an operation and have an accident.

 

✅ Have a nap, have a party.
