Careful Or Carefully Is It An Adverb Or An Adjective Learn The Difference
Careful Or Carefully? Is It An Adverb Or An Adjective? Learn The Difference!
Jun 29, 2021 / English / 1 mins read

How to tell the difference between an adjective and an adverb:

✅ Adjectives describe a noun. We use adjectives before nouns and after some verbs, especially be:

- Jim is a careful driver.

- We didn’t go out last night because of the heavy rain.

- Please be quiet.

- He made me very angry.

- I was upset that my mark on the test was so bad

✅ Adverbs describe a verb. An adverb tells us how somebody does something or how something happens:

- Jim drove carefully along the dangerous road.

- We didn’t go out last night because it was raining heavily.

- Please speak quietly.

- He angrily left the room.

- I was upset that I did so badly on the test.
