➡ Sentences are about something or someone, called the subject.
➡ The predicate contains information about the subject.
➡ The simple subject is the main word in the subject, and the simple predicate is the main word in the predicate. The simple subject is always a noun or pronoun and the simple predicate is always a verb.
➡ The object in a sentence is involved in an action but does not carry it out, the object comes after the verb. Objects can be direct or indirect.
➡ A direct object refers to a person or thing affected by the action of the verb.
➡ An indirect object refers to a person or thing who receives the direct object
