1 sep. 2021 / Engelsk / 1 min läst

We use should have + past participle to talk about actions we regret. To regret is to feel bad about something that happened or did not happen in the past.

Examples with verbs:

- I got really cold last night, I should have taken a sweater with me.

- I should have drunk my coffee this morning.

- He should have studied for the exam.

- I regret saying it now. I should have kept my mouth shut. I wish I hadn’t said anything!”

Let's practice!

Write sentences in the comments using the structure should have + past participle.
