Look And Watch What S The Difference
"Look" and "Watch": What's the Difference?
2020年1月25日 / 英語 / 1 読まれた分

Confusing 'look' and 'watch' can be quite common for those learning English.

Read this post to learn the difference between these verbs and how to use them:

✅ Look at:

When we look at something, we direct our eyes in its direction and pay attention to it.

Example:

Come and look at this photo Carina sent me.

Note that Look is followed by at: Look at the rain. Not: Look the rain.

✅ Watch:

Watch is similar to look at, but it usually means that we look at something for a period of time, especially something that is changing or moving.

Example:

We watch television every evening.

Have you ever been confused by these verbs?

Let's practice a little to make it clear:

Write in the comments a sentence using “look at” or “watch”.
