- Thailand used to be called Siam.

Thailand is the world's 50th-largest country by land area, and the 22nd-most-populous country in the world.

Thai people, out of respect, maintain the height of their heads lower when passing between older people or those with higher social status and should not point their feet at another person or religious statue.
