- The official language of Bulgaria is Bulgarian, which is written with the Cyrillic alphabet.

- On the first day of March, Bulgarians celebrate a holiday called Baba Marta (Grandmother March). This holiday marks the arrival of spring. People exchange 'martenitsas' which are pieces of fabric with red and white colors to welcome the new season. They wear these pieces of fabric as bracelets or hang them from trees during the month of March. 

 - Bulgaria's national musical instrument is the bagpipes.

- Bulgaria’s Rose Valley is very important in perfume making because it is a large producer of roses and rose oil.
