Learn How To Form Questions In English
Learn How To Form Questions in English
14 nov 2021 / Inglés / 4 minutos leídos

English learners can get confused when creating sentences because they can try to form the sentence using the structure from their native language.

In English, there is a standard order of words to follow and that is what you will learn in today's lesson.

✅ Question Words:

✅ Basic Question Structures:

- Auxiliary Verb + Subject + Main Verb

- Interrogative + Auxiliary Verb + Subject + Main Verb

- Some Auxiliary Verbs: To do, To be, To have

Exception: Questions in the simple present and simple past using ‘to be’ do not need an auxiliary verb.

Ex: Are you cold? Is he John? Where is Boston? How are you? Is it white or black?

✅ Question Types:

Yes/No Questions: Answer is Yes or No.

Question Word Questions: Answer is “Information”.

Choice Questions: The answer is in the question.
