How To Talk About The Weather In English
14. nov. 2021 / Engelsk / 1 min læst

✅ When the sun is bright, we say it is sunny.

✅ When the moon can easily be seen at night, we say it is a clear night.

✅ When there are lots of clouds in the sky, we say it is cloudy.

✅ When there is rain falling from the clouds, we say it is raining or rainy. When there is a lot of rain, we say it is a storm.

✅ When there is lightning (bright flashes) or thunder (loud sounds), we say it is a thunderstorm.

✅ When the air is moving quickly, we say it is windy.

✅ When there is a little rain but it is sunny, we say it is a sunshower.

✅ After it rains, sometimes there is a rainbow.

✅ When clouds are really low and it is hard to see, we say it is foggy.

✅ When there is snow in the sky, we say it is snowing. When there is a lot of snow and wind, we say it is a blizzard.

✅ When the temperature is high and the air is wet, we say it is humid. Humidity makes it feel hotter.

When the temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit), we say it is freezing. The wind chill makes it feel colder.

When the temperature is neither hot nor cool, but a nice, enjoyable temperature, we say it is cool or mild.
